Hello everyone and welcome or welcome back to my blog. Today I am going to be doing the book addiction tag. I saw this over at Ellyn’s allonsythornraxx blog. The creator of this tag is from the blog Always Trust In Books. I will leave a link to both posts below. Now without further ado let’s go ahead and get started.
What’s the longest amount of time you can comfortably go without picking up a book?
Lately I have been going without picking up a book for more than 24 hours. Although when I am really in a good reading mood I can put a book down and will come back to it within about 4 hours.
How many books do you carry on your person (or kindle) at any one time?
I haven’t been carrying any physical books, but I have about 65 books in my kindle app (includes all books I have gotten from borrowing from libby with my library card).
Do you keep every book you buy/receive or are you happy to pass them on to make space for more?
I have not yet passed any of the books I have bought or received. I am planning on passing some on though since I got new copies of some. I want other people to be able to enjoy them.
How long would you spend in a bookshop on a standard visit?
If someone would let me I would spend hours in a bookshop looking at all the cool and new books that has been released.
How much time per day do you actually spend reading?
Now that I have started my blog I am spending about 2-4 hours reading (on the days I actually read my books). It’s definitely not everyday though, some days I don’t read.
Where does the task ‘picking up a book’ appear on your daily to-do list?
I don’t really have a daily to-do list so I pretty much pick up a book when I am feeling like reading.
How many books do you reckon you own in total (including e-books)?
I probably own at least 120 books. I’m not for certain on that as I pretty much guessed a close number to what it looks like I own from scanning over them all.
Approximately how often do you bring up books in conversation?
Whenever I can is a pretty accurate answer for this one.
What is the biggest book (page count) you have finished reading?
From looking at my read books on Goodreads that would have to be The Red Pyramid by Rick Riordan.
Is there a book you had to get your hands on against all odds (i.e searching bookshops, online digging, etc.)?
No I don’t think any of the books I have were a situation like that.
A book you struggled to finish but refused to DNF?
I don’t think I have a book like that on my list that I can think of.
What are your main book goals for 2022?
1. Read 1 book a week for the rest of this year.
2. Post 2x a week on my blog
3. Read at least 1 horror book (a genre I haven’t read before).
Have you ever had the privilege of converting someone into a reader ( maybe via inspiration or incessant nagging)?
Not that I can think of off the top of my head.
Describe what books mean to you in five words.
Fun, Time Passers, Great Adventures
